Description
A great tasting side dish and easy way to get your kids to eat their greens.
Ingredients
fresh asparagus spears
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
oil for frying
Directions
Wash and rinse the asparagus spears. Pour the buttermilk into a bowl or container that is longer than the asparagus spears. Place the flour on a pie plate or cookie sheet. Next, coat each spear of asparagus with buttermilk by rolling the spear in the milk, then remove them and roll in the flour. After you have coated all the spears, fry until they are all lightly golden brown. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels. These taste great served with Ranch dressing as a dip. Great alternative to French fries and is a way to get your children to eat vegetables.
